Fourth of July Parade, Witwen, WI --10:30 a.m.

The club’s parade unit will step off for the first parade of the season in the big little town of Witwen, WI on July 4th. If you have never been to Witwen, this is the day to go. An unincorporated village of a few hundred swells to thousands for the spectacle of farm machinery, mechanical Holstein’s spewing candy, the Living Flag, and, of course, the mounted unit of the Wisconsin Morgan Horse Club, as well as many high school bands from the surrounding county.

The Witwen Parade has been featured in many news and feature articles as well as being an episode (many years ago) of “On the Road,” with Charles Kurault.

It all concludes with a fanastic chicken barbecue in the park. Tip: Buy your ticket for the bbq before the parade because they sometimes sell out.

If you would like to ride, please contact our Parade Chair, Darcy Overturf, (608)-986-3362, for information on our starting area and saddle up times.
